Our time in Buenos Aires has been very relaxed so far, way too much malbec, dulche de leche and the most amazing steaks ever. We keep having to have salad only days just to keep our bodies in balance. Every meal starts with baskets of bread and always some delicious homemade spread to go with it. We've both gained weight already! Our spanish is slowly getting better, with a definate lean on culinary terms, we're pretty good in a restaurant, but the rest is still guesswork and lots of miming.

On Tuesday night we dined at an amazing restaurant thanks to Linda, Kirk and Nick B collegues from China Doll, a beautiful 9 course deg with the most beautiful Argentinean matching wines, truely spoilt. And today afternoon tea from G's sister, Steph, at the gorgeous Alvear Hotel.

Yesterday we hired bikes and toured the city on wheels, so many beautiful parks and gardens to be seen, worth risking the crazy drivers! Today we managed to get to Recoleta to see the cemetary where Evita is buried, just a beautiful place.

We are learning to deal with the latin male attitudes, so much attention all the time. Our first night out we made the mistake of holding hands at a table only to find within seconds every male waiter in the place standing over us, an entire table of 6 business men actually turn their chairs towards us to get a better view, and a phone number thrown down just incase. Beginner error, wont be doing that again in a hurry.

On friday we head to Uraguay for 2 nights, very excited about seeing another country, following that we fly up to the Brazilian border to see the Iguazu Falls before heading up to Rio and spending 2 weeks on the Emerald Coast just south, Illa Grand and Paraty.
