From the small hillside town of Barichara we took an ancient cobbled highway, to the tiny hamlet of Guane. The road dated back to pre Colombian days and is now a national monument. Beautiful but intensely hot and humid walking.
Dry stone walls filled with fossils. Only a few goats and the odd scrawny chicken for company.
